SUNGAZING

The best, & safest, time for Sungazing:

30 minutes after sunrise & 30 minutes before sunset.

Remove glasses and contacts.

Stand barefoot on the earth while facing the Sun.

Smile & raise your emotional level of love & joy as you absorb the suns medicinal rays.

Open your palms toward the sun and take deep slow breathes imbibing the prana as you eat the sun with your smiling eyes.

Concentrate on feeling that connection and become one with the sun.

You can start with 5 minutes or less, but stop if your eyes get irritated.

Slowly build up your practice to whatever time period is comfortable for you within your Sungazing ½ hour windows at dawn and dusk.

The sun effects the pineal gland, reffered to by the philosopher Descarte, as the seat of the soul, and the place where our thoughts are formed. It regulates our sleep cycles and is responsible for serotonin & melatonin hormone production.

’The happy hormone’ Seatonin is produced by day while Melatonin,‘the hormone of darkness’ is produced at night making us sleepy. During our sleep-time melatonin converts to DMT (Dimethyltryptamine) triggering dreams.

The sun aids the decalcification the pineal gland which is the best benefit of sungazing.

The best known sungazer is ‘Hira Ratan Manek’.
